What We Saw
This paddle is typical of the salt marsh, grassy tidal
creeks in this part of the coast.
Troupe Creek runs into the Intracoastal Waterway to
the south where you'll probably see commercial boats like
the ones at left.
We headed north (left) during low tide to explore the
narrow side channels of the creek.
|
You'll paddle surrounded by tall grasses and, at low
tide, mud. The kids enjoyed paddling head on into the
soft sand banks burying the bows into the freshly drained
mud.
