What We SawGinguite Creek is open to the sound at both north and south ends. We headed south (left) from Kitty Hawk Kayak. We were warned that there was a large goose with an attitude to the north near the Route 158 bridge, so we played it safe. It was a very pleasant, easy run south through lots of trees. The scenic highlight was the stylish covered bridge in the photo above. We did this in late may and flies were a problem in a few areas, so we suggest insect repellent or mesh hats. |

We didn't go all the way to the sound at the southern
exit point of the creek, but were told that's a nice
paddle. Here's a photo of the kayak shop at the launch area. |
